Eeny Meeny Miney Mo...

...So I am still enjoying my life in Salt Lake City. I was just thinking today that my life really isn't too stressful. I get to do lots of good things, things I need to do and things I want to do...well, to some degree, being pretty poor only allows so many wants...anyway...my options for future plans/schooling are only complicating my simple life. Today I got home and had recieved my acceptance letter to Columbia University...now I have 3 wonderful schools in 3 awesome cities, each with wonderful opportunities, to choose from...University of Utah, Columbia University, and Boston University. With my luck, I will recieve my acceptance letter to the University of South Carolina tomorrow and have all 4 of my schools to choose from. I don't want to sound like I am complaining...I know that I am very lucky and very blessed...I mean seriously...I didn't think I would really get into Columbia...it seemed like a long shot. So I know that any of the schools would be fabulous...but I have to figure that out...where do I need to be for the next few years of my life? which city is for me? which school will offer me the best opportunities? I will be umm, doing my dad's famous pros and cons lists, as well as phone calls, pondering, flight plans for trips to Boston and NY, etc. I will keep you all updated, I promise. I would love to hear any insights or thoughts y'all have. Anyone with feedback on living in NYC or Boston, feel free to comment on my blog or email me at kristina.carruth@gmail.com... Later!

Play Date with Presley

For those of you that know me well, you know that I absolutely love playing with kids, mostly cause they are adorable and they remind me to have fun and enjoy life. I live far away from my 4 nieces and nephew who live in Texas and even further from my other 2 nieces who live in London, England. My cousin has a 5 year old girl named Presley who I like to steal from her preschool for the day or for an afternoon when I get a chance. Her favorite thing to do with me is to bake and decorate cupcakes together. Last Friday, I picked her up around lunchtime and had her for the whole afternoon! We got Wendys and ate it as a picnic at a park near my house, we played on the playground, we made cupcakes, we did sidewalk chalk outside, we colored pictures, and we did a couple of other errands. We had a blast! I love kids...I think that as a 24 year old single LDS girl, I am way more ready to be a mother and take care of children than I am to take care of a husband for the rest of time and eternity! All in its appropriate timing...

Life is Full of Surprises and Fun

Well, I have not updated my blog in sometime. I have been pretty busy, I suppose. I have been accepted to 2 of my 4 Master's programs so far...to Boston University and to the University of Utah. I am still waiting to hear back from the University of South Carolina and Columbia University. The programs are 2 year Masters programs in Exercise Science/Physical Education-I will get a Masters and a teaching license at the same time. I am waiting to hear back so I can plan some trips to visit my schools, I am getting impatient with the last 2! I have been enjoying beautiful weather in Salt Lake City, the last of the snow and the first signs of spring. I went snowshoeing last Saturday for the first time and I need to get another ski day in before the season is over. I am substitute teaching, running, and well, having tons of fun hanging out with my 3 awesome roommates, and some cool guys from our ward, and their friends. We enjoy chatting, eating out, movies in pajamas, dancing, and anything fun...
